Studio Bailiff

Studio Bailiff is a human scale making company that designs and produces bespoke furniture, objects and interiors. The company was founded by London-born designer Jordan Bailiff. Jordan’s approach to his work is often informed by his experience as a classical dancer and is conceptually driven, with a deep desire to create beautifully crafted objects that appear timeless and emotive.

For Cape Town Furniture Week 2024, Jordan is presenting a form finding exercise as a 3-piece installation, exhibited in PR0T0, an official CTFW exhibition for concepts, prototypes and collectible design pieces. The conceptual piece is a response to everyday furniture that is often discarded once it is perceived to be broken. By using beautifully crafted wooden “prosthetics”, Jordan offers these forms new purpose.
